How coverage works Places are chosen for usefulness to residents and visitors, researched from official sources. We don’t sell rankings, guarantee favorable coverage or publish invented reviews.
Content labels Independent — chosen and written by the publication.Hosted — the business provided a visit or access; disclosed on the page.Sponsored — paid placement, always labeled.Affiliated — a Peters family business, disclosed as owned by the publishers.Editorial standards Every place profile is researched from the business’s own website or its public operator, and links to that source. We never invent reviews, ratings, awards, menu items, hours, prices or event details. Places outside Harrisburg are labeled with their real municipality; a Harrisburg mailing address is not treated as proof of town limits. Profiles describe what a place offers — they are not first-hand reviews unless a visit is disclosed. Corrections are welcome: use this form and we will review the source. What to include For a place suggestion, the business name, street address, official website and what makes it useful to Harrisburg residents. For a community tradition, the organizer, the usual venue and where the public can find each year’s announcement. For a partnership, what you have in mind and how it would be labeled.
Browse the current directory first to see how places are presented.
How submissions are reviewed Each suggestion is checked against the business’s own website and, where relevant, Town of Harrisburg or Cabarrus County sources. We confirm the street address, the municipality it actually sits in, and whether access is public, paid or membership-based. Places that fit the publication are added to the directory, the map and the matching guides together, so a single record stays consistent everywhere it appears.
Not every suggestion will be added, and timing varies. Sponsored or hosted features are discussed separately and are always labeled on the page.
The Harrisburg Edit Requests to join are read personally. There is no automated mailing list on this site yet, so we won’t confirm a subscription until an issue is actually sent to you.
